A candidate from Ferozepur (Rural) Ashu Banger joined the Congress on Monday. Accusing AAP of being “anti-farmer”, Banger alleged there was no internal democracy within the party.

Banger alleged Punjab co-incharge Raghav Chadha was trying to isolate the state leadership from the decision-making process. Chadha said they had received reports that Banger was in constant touch with the Congress. “All parties are trying to hatch conspiracies against AAP, but they will not succeed,” he said. — TNS
