The delegation was to reach the house of the deceased in Banwaripur village first, but was stopped at the check post about 10 km from the village, where Chadha and other leaders were detained. Chadha said: “The video that has surfaced clears the slightest of doubt in the minds of people for the BJP. The Punjab unit of AAP has demanded that the culprits should be immediately arrested by the UP Police.

The AAP demanded Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra should be sacked with immediate effect for a fair investigation. The AAP also sought that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should visit the aggrieved families and apologise to them, along with repealing the farm laws and announcing the guarantee of MSP on all crops from there.

Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema alleged the BJP was resorting to violence. — TNS
