The Punjab leaders who are campaigning for AAP in the national Capital are Amargarh legislator Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra, Malerkotla MLA Zamil-Ur-Rehman and Payal MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura.

Several AAP members appointed chiefs of government bodies too have been visiting Delhi for canvassing for the past several days.

AAP is locked in a three-cornered contest with the Congress and the BJP, who are looking to end its 10-year rule in the Capital.

Gajjanmajrra’s close aide Mohammad Nissar Chaudhary said the Amargarh legislator have been campaigning for a long time in the Palam Assembly Constituency of South Delhi Lok Sabha seat.

“Gajjanmajra has been shuttling between Palam and Amargarh frequently to meet his responsibilities,” said Chaudhary, adding that residents of his constituency are updated about his schedule through his office and social media.

Visakha Chind, another AAP leader, said members of various wings of the party had been visiting the national capital under supervision of Punjab Genco Ltd. chief Navjot Jarag Mandair.

“We have procured publicity material and literature regarding details of various welfare schemes so that we could persuade maximum number of Delhi residents to support AAP candidates during the forthcoming elections,” said Chind.
