AAP MLA Kaka Brar donates Rs 15 lakh, pledges Rs 50,000 monthly for Muktsar’s cleanliness

AAP MLA from Muktsar Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar while donating two new tractor-trailers to a local NGO for the cleanliness of Muktsar town on Wednesday.

AAP MLA from Muktsar, Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar, has donated two new tractor-trailers to a local NGO, Nishchai Foundation, using nearly Rs 15 lakh from his salary over the past three years. Additionally, he has vowed to provide Rs 50,000 per month to support the town’s cleanliness efforts.

While speaking with the media, Kaka Brar said that as an MLA, it is his duty to provide basic amenities to the public. “This NGO has hired 30 sweepers to clean the town without charging anyone. After the initial 10 days, the NGO will cover its expenses but I will continue providing financial assistance,” he said.

The lack of cleanliness is a significant issue in Muktsar, with several protests held outside the municipal council office. Congress councillor Krishan Kumar Shammi Tehria is the current president of Muktsar municipal council.
