Majithia, who appeared in a defamation case he had filed against several AAP leaders in 2016, said the people were receiving threat calls from the gangsters and in several villages only 10 per cent persons associated with the opposition parties managed to file their nomination papers.

He alleged that the AAP government was shielding and promoting gangsters, including Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Lawrence Bishnoi, Lakhbir Singh Landa and Harvinder Rinda. He claimed that these gangsters and their accomplices were intimidating the voters.

He said Bhagwanpuria’s family had been shifting their allegiance with the change of government. Earlier, they were associated with former Deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, added Majithia.
