The state unit of AAP today condemned “indiscriminate” canecharge on Haryana and Punjab farmers protesting the agriculture laws, saying the ruling BJP and Congress were adopting a dictatorial attitude to suppress the voice of the ‘annadatas’.

Rising above partisanship, the AAP said it would support the call for ‘Bharat Bandh’ on September 25 against the Centre’s stance on the farm laws.

In a statement, party’s Kisan Wing state president and MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar of unleashing violence on farmers. “The BJP will have to pay the price for such a repressive policy,” he said. — TNS
