Twelve days after the murder of Naveen Arora, son of an RSS leader of Ferozepur, the main accused was killed in an encounter near Mahmu Joyia toll plaza on the Fazilka-Ferozepur road on Thursday morning.

The encounter took place at a cremation ground, near the toll plaza.

Sources said that on the basis of the revelation by main accused Badal, a Ferozepur police team led by DSP and DSP (D), along

with Badal, visited the site for the recovery of weapons in connection with the case.

Police sources said that in retaliation, Badal, a resident of Ferozepur, was killed in cross-firing but the other accused present at the cremation ground managed to flee.
