A man attacked Additional Sessions Judge Monica Sharma while she was having a morning walk at a park in Ranjit Avenue here in the wee hours of Thursday.

She resisted the attacker and got herself released from his clutches and raised an alarm, following which the suspect fled. She told the police that due to dense fog, she could not see the face of the attacker. Nevertheless, the police have registered a case, began a probe and got her medical check conducted.

In her statement to the police, she said she had gone to the park around 5 am. A person came from behind and tried to strangle her. She said she fought the attacker and got herself released.
