Faridkot May 8
The All-India Sikh Students’ Federation (AISSF) has announced the formation of its 43-member working committee in Faridkot.
The formation of the students’ body comes as a revival of the political organisation of the Sikh youth, which has been at the forefront for decades focussing on political, religious and cultural issues of the community, said Karnail Singh Peermohammad, patron of the federation told mediapersons today.
During militancy in Punjab, the AISSF was very active for the cause of the Sikh community in universities and colleges.
“We want to rope in more students into the federation for the welfare of students and provide them a proper platform to sort out their problems,” said Peermohammad.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any
bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and
partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense
of the term.
