All public dealing at the Punjab Civil Secretariat 1 and 2 has been stopped with immediate effect.

The orders have been issued by the General Administration.

The orders have been issued in wake of a number of Punjab government officers who have visited the secretariats in the recent past reporting Covid positive.

Earlier, Vipul Ujjwal, Director, Rural Development Department, tested positive for Covid on Friday.

He was present at a meeting of the department on Thursday, which was attended by Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Tript Rajinder Bajwa.

Bajwa is also being tested.

All officers who attended the meeting have gone into quarantine and their tests are being conducted.
