A day after announcing the election management committee, the Punjab BJP today set up a 19-member high-powered committee for the Lok Sabha elections.

The 19-member panel includes Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Union Minister Som Parkash, national general secretary Tarun Chugh, former state president Ashwani Sharma and HP BJP in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna

The 19-member of the state election committee includes BJP Punjab president Sunil Jakhar, national executive member Captain Amarinder Singh, BJP parliamentary board member Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Union Minister Som Parkash, national general secretary Tarun Chugh, former state president and national executive member Ashwani Sharma, Himachal BJP in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna, special invitee member and national executive member Harjeet Singh Grewal, organisation general secretary Shrimanthri Srinivasulu, BJP Punjab general secretary Rakesh Rathore, Dayal Singh Sodhi, Anil Sarin, Dr Harsh Vardhan, Jagmohan Singh Raju, Parminder Brar, BJP Mahila Morcha state president Jai Inder Kaur, special invitee member national vice-president Saudan Singh, former CM,Gujarat, and in-charge of BJP Punjab Vijay Rupani and BJP Punjab co-incharge Dr Narender Singh Raina.

The BJP has also called a meeting of the core-committee tomorrow for deliberations on preparation for elections and the issues of the farmers.
