Amarnath flash flood: 3 of Sriganganagar among killed
Abohar, July 9
Three residents of Sriganganagar near Abohar were among the devotees who died in the Amarnath flash flood in Kashmir.
The deceased have been identified as Sushil Khatri, a retired police inspector; Mohan Lal Wadhwa, former president of the New Cloth Market in Sriganganagar, and his wife Sunita Rani Wadhwa. Dr Haritima, Additional District Magistrate, Sriganganagar, said the death of the residents was confirmed by the senior officials in Kashmir.
Khatri had uploaded pictures of the yatra on social media a day before his death.
Navneet Sharma, president, Amarnath Langar Seva Committee, said a batch of 15 pilgrims had left from Sriganganagar on July 3.
