On the eve of the Gidderbaha bypoll results, Congress candidate Amrita Warring and AAP nominee Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon visited religious shrines and prayed for their victory, while BJP candidate Manpreet Singh Badal met his supporters at his Badal village residence.

Gidderbaha is a high-stakes constituency. PCC chief-cum-Ludhiana MP Amrinder Singh Raja Warring’s wife Amrita has made her electoral debut from the seat this time. Former Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal has returned to his old constituency after two Assembly elections. Dimpy Dhillon, who lost his last two elections as a SAD nominee, is contesting on the AAP ticket this time.

Both Amrita and Raja Warring today visited Mata Chintpurni shrine in Una district of HP and later at a dera in Nakodar, Jalandhar. Dimpy Dhillon paid obeisance at Dera Baba Labh Dass Ji Bori Wale at Malkana in Bathinda district.
