Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development Dr Baljit Kaur today held a meeting with the Anganwadi Mulajam Union and the Sarva Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union.

Members of the unions sought Grade III status for anganwadi workers and Grade IV for helpers, inclusion of children aged 0 to 6 years in anganwadi centres, pre-nursery teacher status for anganwadi workers, severance and gratuity for workers and helpers, recruitment of staff, medical leaves and creation of health cards for free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Bima Yojana.

To resolve the issues, another meeting has been scheduled on August 5.
