Amargarh Congress MLA Surjit Dhiman today raised questions on the working of the government in Punjab.

He also warned that the failure of the government to perform as per the expectations of residents would cause the defeat of party leaders in the next Assembly elections.

“The threat to party MLAs and ministers will not work as they are only trying to remind the promises made to residents before the last Assembly elections to our senior leaders. Since we have failed to deliver justice in the sacrilege case, give jobs and end drug menace, these promises will backfire,” he said.

On whether he also thinks that the CM was responsible, he said, “I am not against any individual. But our system is not working properly and I have been raising questions over the working of the system for the past more than three years. I want to see some much-needed changes in our system to serve our residents better,” said Dhiman.
