Army man dies in road mishap

An Army man from Kalanaur in Gurdaspur district died in a road mishap at Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, on Friday night.

The deceased, Malkiat Singh, 31, was run over by a truck in Udhampur where he was posted. He had joined the Army in 2012. Malkiat is survived by his wife and a daughter.

His body will reach his house in Kalanaur tomorrow. The last rites will be performed the same day. Malkiat’s brother is also in the Indian Army.
