Artistes enthral at musical evening in Burman's memory

The RD Burman Fans Club, an NGO dedicated to music, organised a musical programme on Sunday night at a resort located on Hanumangarh- Abohar bypass.

Songs were presented by Pyare Lal, Yukta Nayak, Rajni Aggarwal, Shyam Goswami, Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Dr Sarita Upneja, Jyoti Gaur, Vinod Bihani, Subhash Bhola, Jagir Chand Farma and Lalit Doda on live orchestra.

Retired agronomist Dr OP Vaishya played the mouth organ. Sunil Maurya, Kapil Kalra, Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Pankaj Pahwa and Kuldeep Arora accompanied on various musical instruments. Chief patron of the organisation, MLA Jaideep Bihani, also sang songs. He praised the NGO for encouraging artistes.

Club members enjoyed this three-hour-long programme with their families. Chamber of Commerce president Banshidhar Jindal, Principal Medical Officer Dr Deepak Monga, former medical officer Deepika Monga, businessman Amar Singh Ahuja and many other dignitaries attended the event.

Club president Vinod Goyal, secretary Dr Kusum Jain, treasurer Lalit Doda and joint secretary Nandan Gupta expressed gratitude to the audience. The programme was conducted by Lalit Doda.
