A local court has ordered the attachment of a four-storeyed building of the Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (PUNSUP) situated in Sector 34-A here.

The order was passed in connection with an execution petition filed by corporation’s retired employee Rattan Lal Verma. Verma told the court that in 2018, the corporation was directed to pay him Rs 24 lakh towards leave encashment and gratuity with interest, but the order was not implemented.

After hearing arguments, the court said, “Let the warrants of attachment against the property of judgment-debtor be issued for May 26 on depositing of warrants fee within one week, for enforcement of the decree dated May 15, 2018. The decree-holder is directed to accompany the bailiff.”
