On August 28, 2021, a man threw a shoe towards Sukhbir as he walked off the stage after a political rally organised by former minister Anil Joshi in Amritsar. The shoe did not hit Sukhbir and fell at a distance from him, but the person was detained by the police. On February 2, 2021, Sukhbir’s SUV was attacked with bricks and stones during a clash between SAD and the Congress workers at the tehsil complex in Jalalabad in Fazilka district. Both sides had allegedly opened firing at each other as well.
