The Muktsar police have booked a manager of a local branch of the State Bank of India and six others in an alleged fraud of Rs 35 lakh.

The complainant, Tejinderpal Singh, a retired Inspector of Vigilance Bureau, had alleged that his wife died of Covid in November 2020 and his relatives after changing the nomination of some fixed deposit receipts committed a fraud of nearly Rs 35 lakh. The police said the accused were yet to be arrested. The accused are yet to be arrested. — TNS
