Assistant manager with Primary Agricultural Development Bank Vinod Kumar has been booked under Section 306 of the IPC for allegedly abetting the suicide of a Kailash Nagar resident. In his complaint to the police, the victim’s son Gurmeet Singh alleged that his father was being harassed for the recovery of loan following which he consumed some poisonous substance and died.

In another complaint, Pawan Kumar of Jandwala Meerasangla village said that his sister Luxmi Devi, who got married in November last year, died by suicide allegedly due to harassment by her in-laws. The woman’s husband Rajesh Kumar, his mother Meera and sisters Roshani and Sonu have been booked under Section 304B/34 of the IPC.

Meanwhile, a migrant worker was found hanging from a tree near a brick kiln at Alipura village on the Sadulshehar road. The deceased was identified as Dev Raj.
