According to sources, state Congress chief Amrinder Raja Warring and Congress Legislature Party leader Partap Singh will be present in the city on June 15 and 16, when Baghel campaigns for the party candidate.

It is learnt that senior party leader Harish Chaudhary, who was earlier incharge for Punjab affairs, has also been asked to campaign for Ashu.

Chaudhary, however, said he won’t come to Punjab as being incharge for the Madhya Pradesh, he had pre-engagements there. Party leaders said Warring and Bajwa “were not being kept in the loop during the campaigning”. The other group comprising Rana Gurjeet Singh, ex-CM Charanjit Channi and Pargat Singh have been campaigning.
