The Rajasthan Police have foiled an attempt to smuggle two liquor consignments worth Rs 1.3 crore to Gujarat.

In Salasar area, the police stopped an oil tanker and found boxes of liquor were stacked in it. Team in charge Sandeep Bishnoi said boxes marked “For sale in Haryana” and beer cans in huge quantities were seized. In another case, 563 boxes of liquor were seized from a truck parked near the Hindore toll plaza on NH-62. Drivers and conductors of the tanker and the truck were arrested. — OC
