Veteran Congress leader and Local Government Minister Brahm Mohindra on Thursday accused the BJP and its former alliance partner SAD of dividing and polarising people on communal lines.

He warned the Akalis and the BJP against playing a dirty and dangerous game, which for sure would be defeated by the Punjabis.

Mohindra said, “Amid the sectarian politics being played by the SAD, BJP and AAP, the Congress led by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh enjoyed the trust and confidence of each and every Punjabi in the state”.

“It was Capt Amarinder who took the lead in pointing out the flaws in the three farm laws. He initiated the process of taking the corrective measures by way of legislation in the Vidhan Sabha, which unfortunately has not been forwarded to the President by the Governor”, he said. — TNS
