Blind murder case cracked, woman among 4 arrested

The police claimed to have solved a blind murder case of Jaswinder Singh, alias Gaggu, who was reported missing a fortnight ago.

Those arrested include Amandeep Kaur, Manjit Singh Taina, Ranjit Singh Rupa and Ravi of Jalalgarh village. The accused had thrown Gaggu’s body into a canal, which is yet to be found, said a senior police officer.

SSP Gagan Ajit Singh said a joint team arrested the accused on the basis of intensive technical investigation conducted by various wings of the police.

On July 28, complainant Harvinder Singh of Jalalgarh village had informed the police that his brother Gaggu had been missing since July 26.

During the probe, it come out that Gaggu had illicit relations with Amandeep. The accused were identified on the basis of phone calls and witnesses. The SSP added that the accused had confessed to killing Gaggu.
