Moga: A 60-year-old man was allegedly killed by his nephew at Fatehgarh Panchtoor village of Moga. The deceased has been identified as Shingara Singh. His son Ranjit Singh said his cousin Jagjit Singh started thrashing his father over some petty issue after consuming liquor. He said Jagjit smashed the head of his father into a wall, leading to his death. Jagjit has been booked under Section 302 of the IPC. TNS

Stone of court complex laid

Abohar/Sriganganagar: Justice Manoj Garg and Justice Inderjit Singh laid the foundation stone of a new court complex on Monday, which will be developed at a cost of Rs111 crore, at old sugar mill complex. Sriganganagar got a new court complex after 66 years. All the courts will be accommodated in one building and there will be separate chambers for advocates. OC
