Amritsar: Sikhs, led by the Shiromani Akali Dal, burnt effigies of Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta, AICC president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the state government on Sunday. Talbir Singh, in-charge, Amritsar South, said the DGP’s statement had proved the fact that on the instructions of Sonia Gandhi, a conspiracy was being hatched to shut the Kartarpur Sahib corridor. Party leaders said they would stall the Assembly until Capt Amarinder Singh apologised to the Sikh community. TNS
