Muktsar: A breach in a minor canal at Gurusar village in Gidderbaha subdivision here today inundated fields on 20 acre. Some farmers said the breach occurred due to overflow. “Last year, too, the breach had developed at the same place,” they said. The Irrigation Department officials had stopped the water supply in the minor.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
