3 accused of trespass

Muktsar: Three unidentified persons entered a house at Tibbi Sahib Road here and attacked a young girl on Thursday. The victim informed the police that when she was alone at her house, a man entered and hit her with a sharp-edged weapon. She said when her mother came to the house, the attacker, who was accompanied by two more persons, attacked her as well. The police have started the investigation. TNS

18 injured in mishap

Muktsar: As many as 18 women were injured when a truck collided with a Land Cruiser on Thursday. The women, all employees of a thread mill in Bathinda, were coming from different villages in Malout. The injured were taken to Civil Hospital, Gidderbaha. Further investigation is on, the police said. TNS
