The Moga Police has arrested a person and recovered one kilogram of opium.

The City South Police Station arrested the accused, identified as Balwinder Singh alias Sonu, of Jind district, Haryana.

The arrest was made near the Baba Mallan Shah Road after receiving a tip-off.

Balwinder is a habitual opium seller.

A case has been registered under the NDPS Act. The police plan to secure police remand to investigate forward and backward linkages in the drug network.
