Chandigarh: Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has approved the appointment of Dr Sushendra Kuar Mishra as the Vice-Chancellor of Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur. Dr Mishra is a former registrar of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala. BSP seeks release of activists

Sangrur: A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) delegation on Friday submitted a memorandum to Sangrur Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Rishi and sought immediate release of activists of the Zameen Prapti Sanghrash Committee (ZPSC). On May 20, these activists had planned to take possession of 927 acres of land that belonged to the erstwhile Jind ruler near Bir Aishwan in Sangrur. OC

‘Declare Agniveer martyr’

Faridkot: Pradesh Congress Committee president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on Friday visited the family of Agniveer Akashdeep Singh at Kothe Chahal village, who lost his life in Jammu.
