Ferozepur: Punjab Police sleuths on Friday nabbed a cross-border drug smuggler and seized 15 kg heroin from his possession. Ferozepur Range DIG Harmanbir Singh Gill said a trap was laid near Sodhi Nagar village during which Ramesh Kumar (50) of Mohkam Khan Wala village in Kulgarhi block was nabbed. TNS

Patiala: The police have nabbed two gangsters and seized nine pistols, one revolver and 22 cartridges from them. The police claimed they were key operatives of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. They have been identified as Manav and Sachin. A case has been registered at the Kotwali police station. TNS
