A team of the CIA Staff has arrested three youths with 150 gm of heroin near Ramsara village, 10 km from here. The accused have been identified as Adil Luthra, Surjit Kumar and Pawan Kumar. A case has been registered under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act against them at the Wahabwala police station.

Physically challenged youth assaulted in Bathinda

Bathinda: After a video of some people allegedly assaulting a physically challenged youth, Harjit Singh, went viral on social media on Friday, the police on Saturday registered a case against Joga Singh, Gaurav Joshi and a few others. Sandeep Singh Bhati, DSP City-I, Bathinda, said efforts were on to nab the suspects. Harjit had alleged some e-rickshaw operators were not allowing him to run a vehicle.

Youth whose body was found in canal identified

Abohar: A youth, whose body was found in a canal near Bhagu village three days ago, has been identified as Gurvinder Singh (20) of Bhalaiana village, in Gidderbaha tehsil. Gurvinder was a labourer and had gone to Sekhon village to meet a woman last Sunday when he went missing, said his uncle Baldev Singh. He claimed Gurvinder had been murdered.
