After a year-long investigation, the police have arrested three persons for alleged fraud in property in a colony developed by the Improvement Trust here.

Chunawadh police station incharge Parmeshwar Suthar said Gian Chand Arora of Setia Farm had on September 21 last year complained that some persons in connivance with Improvement Trust staff allegedly got his residential plot transferred in their favour and constructed a house also. When he approached the Trust office, he was told that ownership documents were missing.

During probe, it surfaced that a gang had hired two persons to fake witnesses and were paid Rs1,500 each. — OC
