Tarn Taran: Jarnail Singh, an alleged drug addict, shot dead his father after he refused to give him money for drugs at Rattoke Havelian village on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Harjinder Singh (55). The accused has been arrested and a case registered against him.

Sanitation workers on strike, garbage piles up in Ropar

Ropar: Heaps of garbage are piling up in various parts of the Ropar city as sanitation workers of the municipal council have gone on strike. They are demanding regularisation of their services. They are also protesting against the appointment of supervisors from the Punjab Ex-Service Corporation.

Prabhbir Singh Brar takes charge as PUNSUP Chairman
