Now, the 30-minute ceremony in which border guards of both India and Pakistan jointly lower their national flags at the check-post will commence at 4.30 pm. Visitors will have to reach the venue about 30 minutes in advance along with their identity cards, preferably Aadhaar cards.
Over 10K participate in Abohar marathon
Abohar: Over 10,000 runners participated in a marathon aimed at creating awareness against drugs. A part of the “Nashon se Door, Khelon ki Aur” campaign launched by IFFCO’s former chairman Surinder Jakhar nearly two decades ago, the Jakhar Trust organised the sixth edition of the marathon. Rudrashree, great granddaughter-in-law of former Lok Sabha Speaker Bal Ram Jakhar presented medals to the winners, who were awarded Rs 1.7 lakh prize money in total
