The Punjab Government transferred three IAS and five PCS officers on Wednesday. While Manvesh Singh Sidhu and Sonali Giri have been posted as Secretary Revenue and Rehabilitation, Rahul Chaba has been posted as Additional Chief Executive Officer in the Bureau of Investment Promotion.

Patiala panchayat poll on March 30

The State Election Commission has announced that the elections to 16 gram panchayats in the Sanour block of Patiala district would be held on March 30. An official spokesperson said the filing of nominations would begin on March 17 and withdrawals could be made till March 22. The counting of votes would be held immediately after the polling and the process would conclude by April 1.
