Hoshiarpur, August 17

A Border Security Force (BSF) constable sustained a bullet injury after his service rifle accidentally went off while cleaning it, the Hoshiarpur police said on Saturday.

Constable Mohan Lal was deployed at the Subsidiary Training Center (STC), BSF, Kharkan Camp, situated on the Hoshiarpur-Una road, around 17 kilometres from here.

Mohan Lal had been admitted to a private hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable, said the police officials.

The service rifle accidentally went off while he was cleaning it, the police officials said. — PTI
