Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will contest all 13 Lok Sabha (LS) seats on its own in Punjab in the ensuing LS elections.

State general secretary of BSP, Dr Makhan Singh, said this decision had been taken at a high level meeting of the party as BSP felt that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), would form an alliance with the BJP in the LS elections. Besides, the SAD leadership had also been ignoring the BSP continuously over the issue of alliance, he added.

He said the BSP could never form an alliance with the BJP.
