Bathinda, July 3

The Municipal Corporation Bathinda’s (MCB’s) building branch was sealed and sanitised today after a resident of Bhagu road succumbed to Covid-19 in Mohali.

The deceased had visited the building branch on June 10.

Bikramjit Singh Shergill, Commissioner, MCB, said, “Building branch’s staff was sent on one-day leave as the positive patient had visited the office on June 10. The entire office has been sanitised.” The building branch will reopen on Monday.

B Srinivasan, Deputy Commissioner, said five persons tested positive in the district and at present there are 26 active cases.
