Some unidentified persons burgled a house in New Satnampura locality and took away some goods, including gold ornaments and cash, on Tuesday night.

The burglars entered the house after breaking the locks in the absence of the owners. The family has reported a loss of about Rs 5 lakh.

On a complaint lodged by the house owner, Rajinder Kaur, the police have registered a case and is investigating the matter.
