A Cabinet sub-committee comprising Finance Minister Harpal Cheema and NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Wednesday held meetings with various unions related to the School Education Department.

The Cabinet sub-committee gave a patient hearing to demands raised by representatives of Murr Bahal Kache Adhayapak Union, Overage Berozgar Union, Unaided Staff Front, BEd TET Pass Berozgar Adhiyapak Union and Daftari Karamchari Union. The union leaders also submitted their memorandums to the ministers.

The Cabinet sub-committee directed officials to hold regular meetings with the unions to address genuine demands raised by them.

The Finance Minister directed Health Department officials to study the approach adopted by other states to address demands of the union.
