Café owner attacked in Anandpur Sahib, six booked

According to an FIR, a group of armed men stormed into Jai Hacker Café and launched a brutal assault on one of its owners, Balwant Singh, at 11.30 pm.
Balwant Singh stated that he was at the café with his friend Sujain Shah and a few customers when two SUVs arrived at the spot.
He said the attackers included Arshi, Dharamvir, alias Raja, Neeraj, Maninder, alias Mani, and Vasu. Arshi allegedly struck Balwant with a kirpan, resulting to an injury near his right wrist. Dharamvir also attempted to attack him with a kirpan, but Balwant managed to step back.
Balwant was rushed to the Anandpur Sahib Civil Hospital by his friend Shah.
The police have registered a case under Sections 109, 118(1), 351(2), 115(2), 190, 191(3) and 125(A) of the BNS and Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act. Ropar SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana said the security had been tightened in the area and patrols teams had been increased around key public places.
