Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu on Monday said the state government had empanelled Sangrur’s Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, a unit of Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, for cashless treatment up to Rs5 lakh under the Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana.

“Under the guidance of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, Cabinet minister Vijay Inder Singla has develop Sangrur as the medical hub in the region,” Sidhu said. On doctors prescribing costly medicines, Sidhu said an inquiry would be conducted and erring officers would face action. — TNS
