Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and  Gajendra Shekhawat, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, for their support for the project, he said the two projects, titled “Cultural and Heritage Stretch, A Symbol of Peace and Harmony at Hussainiwala Border” and “Heritage Street as a Tribute to Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh at Khatkar Kalan, SBS Nagar,” are designed as fitting tributes to the martyrs.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has recognised Ferozepur (Hussainiwala Border) as a key destination for development under the culture and heritage category.

Following collaboration with the state government, the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee has approved the "Cultural and Heritage Stretch, A Symbol of Peace and Harmony at Hussainiwala Border" project with an investment of Rs 24.99 crores.
