New Delhi: The Centre on Tuesday extended the ban on pro-Khalistan group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) by another five years under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Sources said the decision was taken on the basis of new evidence found in a probe conducted by the NIA. The SFJ is a US-based group run by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who was declared a ‘designated individual terrorist’ by the Centre in 2020.
