Cooperation Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today urged Union Fertilisers Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to immediately allocate 2.5 lakh MT diammonium phosphate (DAP) for August.

Randhawa called on the minister at his office in New Delhi this morning and sought uninterrupted supply of the DAP to farmers as per their requirement during the ongoing kharif season.

On his part, Mandaviya said the ministry would make all arrangements in advance for adequate allocation of fertilisers to ensure farmers were not put to hardship. The Union Minister said the ministry was committed to ensuring timely supply of DAP to all states, adding the requisite quantities of DAP would be moved to Punjab well in time.
