A Central Government emissary met farm leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on an indefinite fast for 65 days now, at Khanauri on Wednesday. Dallewal apprised him that he would continue his fast till demands raised by farm unions were met.

Farmers who were part of the meeting at Khanauri said a Central Government official met Dallewal and enquired about his health. He also wished the farmer leader a speedy recovery so that he could be part of the talks on February 14.

Dallewal told the visiting official that he had reluctantly accepted medical aid, but his fast would continue until the government addressed their demands.
