A grand and vibrant procession marked the beginning of Christmas celebration in Abohar, organised by the management of all local churches. Starting from Sarabha Nagar, the procession passed through key roads, including

Bus Stand Road, Tehsil Road, Circular Road, Johari Mandir Road before concluding at Abohar-Malout Chowk. Santa Claus, tableaus featuring angels, King Herod, and melodious Church choirs singing worship songs about the Jesus Christ captivated onlookers.

The festive spirit drew admiration from people of various faiths, who warmly welcomed the procession. MLA Sandeep Jakhar and his supporters greeted the participants at Sain Chownk with rose petals.

Speaking on the occasion, Jakhar emphasised the universal message saying, “At its core, Christmas transcends religious boundaries, promoting peace, love, and goodwill, fostering solidarity and mutual respect among diverse

communities.”
