CIA arrests gangster Bhathua

Sangrur: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the Sangrur police have arrested gangster Bir Bahadur Singh, alias Kala Bhathua. “Bhathua is a B-category gangster. After getting a tip-off, we nabbed him on Thursday night near Panchkula. Though he is facing around 25 criminal cases, we have arrested him in a kidnapping case. We have procured his four-day police remand,” said Satnam Singh, incharge, CIA (Sangrur). TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
